Since its founding by circus impresario John Ringling, this college has grown to offer 14 degree programs in the visual arts. Its goal of becoming one of the nation’s preeminent art schools is supported by this campus master plan for increasing cross-disciplinary interaction. The plan suggests locating the studios and resources of related disciplines next to one another to encourage creativity and collaboration. These clusters of activity are planned to promote artistic exploration and a sense of shared purpose. Additionally, the plan recommends adding recreational facilities, group work rooms, and galleries to the campus while improving the library and student center.
