Following a Framework Plan completed in 2010 and the successful implementation of many of its elements, Ohio State needed an update to respond to a new and changing university environment. Framework 2.0 guides future campus capacity in the long term, and identifies solutions to near-term campus challenges related to growth, facilities conditions, and programmatic needs. The plan also ensures the strength and longevity of the Ohio State identity and brand. Planning included the entire Columbus campus, with deeper dives around the Health Sciences; West Campus (Innovation and Agriculture); the St. John Arena Site and Academic Core North; and open space, recreation, and stormwater management.
