Since its founding in 1950 as a two-year college for women, Marymount has steadily evolved. Through this evolution, Marymount’s mission of providing education of the whole person through intellectual, ethical, and spiritual development has remained firm. The master plan update assesses current campus needs, identifies priorities, and reaffirms the mission, vision, framework, and principles identified in the 2010 Master Plan. Significant implementation of the 2010 Master Plan provided the university the opportunity to reassess their space needs and student experience through the update process. Robust engagement with campus units, extensive data analysis, and tours of existing buildings informed recommendations for project needs. The final plan identifies a flexible continued implementation strategy organized into scenario phases that provide university leadership various paths to address campus needs.
