In February 2012, WoodWorks presented nine Eastern Wood Design Awards to architects and engineers who demonstrate innovation and excellence in the design of wood buildings. Ayers Saint Gross received an award for The Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center.

Construction began Tuesday on a multifamily project near the downtown campus of Arizona State University. The yet-unnamed community will have 325 units of various sizes and designs.
