The Top 500 Design Firms list, published annually in April, ranks the 500 largest U.S.-based designs firms, both publicly and privately held, based on design-specific revenue. Ayers Saint Gross jumped nearly 100 spots, placing #333 last year and #237 this year.

Officials at George Washington’s historic home of Mount Vernon broke ground Thursday on a new library to house information on the nation’s first president. The 45,000-square-foot library was designed by Ayers Saint Gross, an architectural design and planning firm in D.C.
The complex, years-long effort to plot the redevelopment of the St. Elizabeths east campus will accelerate over the next several months as the D.C. government and a contractor design a master plan for the 170-acre site. The Office of Planning chose Ayers Saint Gross to evaluate master plan concepts for the Southeast D.C. project.
